Yes I know we will be using a lot of these birds for our table but we think they are living a good life now and that means a lot to us. Here is a short video of our mixed flock [mostly turkey's in this clip] out by the oak tree in the afternoon fall sunshine.
Table or not, it is so important that they have a good, healthy life. Looks like you and Ralph are providing both! And you get entertainment to boot!!
ReplyDeleteGiving them a good life is what our job is all about as stewards. You look like you're doing a super job in that department! Providing meat gives them purpose that they otherwise wouldn't have.
ReplyDeleteSomewhere I read...to save these breeds we have to need the breeds...what better "need" than for healthy food?
