The offer was accepted!

Well as world news gets worse our news is exciting!

We drove like crazy to get to the Cub Run property and meet the Realtor. About 10 miles from the farm the sky's opened up and the wind went wild! We drove into a wicked thunderstorm and a debris covered road. We saw trees that had just blown down, this was actually a scary drive in our little car.

At one point Ralph actually slammed on the brakes as trees blew low to the road...but as we got to the farm the sun suddenly shone, the wind died and there was that beautiful light and freshness after rain!

A sign?

The realtor arrived and he had been just behind us in the storm. The tour started and went wonderfully. We saw the inside of the home and despite its plain no nonsense look I loved it. The kitchen is big and open...there is a perfect office/computer area for Ralph and lots of storage. The wood cookstove stays!
The back of the land drops off a bit steeper than we had hoped but it is perfect for the potential goats.

We just saw all our ideas and plans being able to be worked on. Ralph walked some of the land with the young man who owns the place. They worked out a price and we wrote up an official offer, it was accepted and now, if all goes well we close July 28th!

Possession will be September 1st.  Ralph had asked if we could garden while they were moving as there is a good area for it away from the home and out of there way.

So if....and that is such a big word.....all goes according to plan, we have bought the farm!

We thank God for this gift and all the wonders it will bring.

    1. It has been interesting and honestly the horrible delays were a help in ways we had not expected. They MADE us evaluate land in a more realistic way.
